Infused Water

As most women know, we need to drink about 9 cups of water a day-more if she is physically active, breastfeeding, or pregnant. Most of us have to work to get the needed amount. Sometimes I feel that I need to pencil it in to my scheduled because I get busy and simply don't think about drinking. Water is vital to proper bodily functions. In order to spark up the daily routine of drink-drink-drink.Infused water is inexpensive and a fun thing to serve guests and children!

Infused water is actually a Spanish origin. In Spain it is referred to as agua fresca. Basically it is water with added fruit juices, herbs, or vegetables, and sometimes sugar. Infused water can be made of regular purified water or carbonated water. It is usually a healthy alternative to soda or sugary fruit juices.

Infused water is easy to make-simply chop up desired fruits, herbs, or vegetables in attractive slices and pour ice water over them. The pitcher should chill in a refrigerator 3 hours or more before the flavors are adequately integrated into the water.
